Druid, yet Warlock doesn’t talk with animals directly save for a couple of anthros.
Hunter, yes he tries to be one when he is alone.
Mage is a good word instead of wizard.
He is not religious, so paladin and priest might not work.
And in his quest he rebels against the status quo, which could make him a rogue.
Definitely a shaman, and warlock. Not so much a warrior, unless you count his tenacity towards finding peace for the world.
Future books of the series will focus more on the shaman aspect.
